When you think about having goals, what pops into your mind?

A. Career

B. Health  

C. Family

D. Physical Appearance 

E. All of the above  

I know for me it’s, E!  I have a variety of goals and although they are meaningful and exciting , they can cause an overwhelming feeling and when they do, I counter by remembering why they are important and doing so helps me stay focused on pursuing them.  The more specific and clear you are, the more apt you are to achieve them. However, there are always going to be bumps in the road and we need to be able to stay resilient and take action.

 Breathing Wellness is all about working on yourself to reach your goals-this concept applies to all areas.  We breathe in wellness nutrients (habits, practices) and exhale a healthier mind and body.  In regards to goal setting, we want to focus on breathing in the “nutrients” that will support us to reaching goals.

Bravery  What can you do to be brave? Look in the mirror and with conviction say, “I got this! I am going for it because I know it will make me feel fulfilled”

 Results Are you clear on what you want the outcome to be? It’s totally fine if your ideas change but setting an intention to begin with is key.

Excel How are you going to do well and surpass your goal?  Do you have a couple first steps written down?

Action/Accountable This is major in goal setting and when working with a coach.  How and who is holding you accountable with the actions you’re taking? There are tons of ways to do this and the impact is significant. 

 Thoughtful As I mentioned, although exciting, goals can be overwhelming- have you thought them through? Do you feel they are realistic and reachable?  I am all about being positive and aiming high, but you also want to be reasonable, especially early on, thinking through a plan and creating a strategy is crucial.  

 Harmonious Do your goals sound pleasant and in agreement with your true self? 

 Enthusiastic Are you excited about your goals? Do you want to work on them daily and imagine the outcome? Having dreams about your future? I hope so! The more passionate and eager you are the better.
