People hear “meal prep” and the thought of “a diet” or “weight loss” often comes to mind.

However, there are many benefits of preparing meals for the week that have zero connotation with those concepts ⬇️

▫️Time Saver- Get it out of the way, especially if you have kids and a busy schedule. If you prep in advance you're set and don't need to think about it.
▫️Saves Energy- Cooking can be fun, is relaxing for many, and quite enjoyable, but some find it exhausting if they need to cook daily. Setting time aside to cook for the week allows you to spend that energy doing other activities.
▫️Lower Stress Level-Planning in advance leaves you relaxed and not overwhelmed about what to make, just heat up the meal and savor it!
▫️More Time For Other Activities - Spend that extra time with friends, family or with yourself! You know I’m big on getting that “me time” in!
▫️Improve Relationship With Food-When you cook you learn about foods, the nutrition/energy it provides you, and what you actually like to eat. You'll have meals to eat when you're hungry and not make thoughtless choices.
▫️Manage Your Portions-You have control. When you cook you're aware of the ingredients and measurements. Restaurants tend to serve large portions, and lack of awareness tends to result in overeating-when you cook for yourself you manage the portions of everything.
▫️Save Money-It's so easy to order in, pick up food, and go out with friends, but those meals add up💲If you prep, you'll save. Spend the extra cash on quality ingredients!
▫️Prevent worry-People spend hours thinking about their next meal, whether it's for themselves or the family. Prepping and making decisions in advance releases that anxiety.
